Job Title: General Assistant- Cafe

Reporting to: Site Manager

Location: Ichiba, White City

Contract:Full time or Part time; Permanent

Rate of Pay: £8.25 per hour

Working Hours:Must be able to work between the hours of 9AM - 10PM; Must be able to work weekends and late nights on a fully flexible basis.

Job purpose:

Dealing directly with customers greeting and offering a great customer service, suggesting and upselling our products. The role involves food preparation including raw and cooked animal products such as fish, chicken, pork, beef and lamb. This position will also require candidates to have good coffee/ tea making skills. Role will also involve helping with deliveries, ensuring enough stock, and keeping all working areas organised and clean.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Serving a customers behind the counter in friendly and professional manner, quickly and efficiently;
• Report any complaints, problems and broken equipments to the supervisor or to your Line Manager;
• Make suggestion to customers, promote Japan Centre products and the company at all time;
• Remembering multiply orders;
• Always make sure customer paid fully for their meal;
• Being a strong team player and friendly to your colleagues and management;
• Timely communication on outstanding tasks;
• Being attentive and discrete;
• Being tidy, clean and hygienic, follow up hygiene rules and regulations as per Company’s policies;
• Taking and following verbal and written instructions;
• Minimise wastage of the food and products;
• Other tasks that might be associated with your role.
